The Norwegian Majesty is one of the older vessels in the Norwegian Cruise Line fleet, launched in 1992 and refurbished in 1999 with a "stretch" that added 115 feet to its length. It is smaller and cozier than other Norwegian Cruise Line ships, with enough room for about 1,400 passengers and amenities to match. Its travel itinerary keeps it on the East Coast of the United States, where it embarks on tours of the Caribbean and the coast of Canada and New England. Norwegian Cruise Lines stresses domestic tours, with its line of ships often exploring the waters of North America and the Caribbean. To further that end, the Majesty often departs from "alternate" East Coast ports such as Baltimore, Philadelphia and Charleston.
With smaller space, the Norwegian Majesty offers fewer amenities than other ships in the NCL line. Four restaurants are available, with open seating for breakfast and lunch at the largest of them. Floor to ceiling windows afford excellent views while dining, while a nightclub and casino provide evening entertainment at sea. The Norwegian Majesty's public lounges also afford good views of the surrounding ocean, while daytime activities include a pool, a spa, a golf driving net and a small fitness club.
The smaller accommodations generally mean more affordable prices for the Norwegian Majesty. Though not built specifically with Freestyle Cruising policy in mind, NCL still stresses it on board, with a casual dress code and flexible scheduling for other events. Direct Line Cruises can arrange for tour packages for the Norwegian Majesty online.
