What determines the price of my cruise?
It is important to know that not all cruises are priced the same. You always must make sure that your are comparing apples to apples when pricing out cruises through different agencies. Typically there are three different factors that affect the price of a cruise, which are:
1. What Cruise Line have you chosen? You will often find that a typical Carnival cruise is fared significantly lower than a standard Celebrity Cruise. Why is this? The reason for this is quite simple! Carnival Cruise Line is more of a mass market brand, where Celebrity Cruises offers a higher-end premium product.
2. When are you sailing? The summertime is generally the most expensive time to cruise because all of the kids are home from school. If you are looking for the best deal, you should look to sail during the Fall or Winter.
3. What type of stateroom have you chosen? If you are looking for the lowest rate, you should always request an inside stateroom. Typically inside staterooms are the cheapest. The next level up is a standard ocean-view. Move another level up and you will be in your own private balcony stateroom.
