Celebrity Millennium Cruise Ship

Celebrity began launching the Millennium class of cruise ships in 2000, with this vessel of the same name. The company's goal was to attract larger audiences while still maintaining the standards of quality which had defined its smaller luxury cruise ships. Like its sister vessels, the Millennium carries approximately 1,900 passengers, and despite its size, its itinerary offers cruises in a wide variety of waters. In 2008, the Millennium will conclude a few tours of the Caribbean before heading west through the Panama Canal to Pacific waters. It will offer short cruises in the American Northwest starting in the summer, as well as Alaskan cruises lasting anywhere from seven days to two weeks. In the fall, it sails south to Australia and New Zealand, offering South Pacific tours with a few brief stops at the Hawaiian islands en route. These reflect Celebrity's emphasis on natural wonders during its tours.

Last-Minute Specials Can Make Celebrity Millennium Cruises More Affordable

Onboard, the Millennium endeavors to maintain a refined and restrained atmosphere. An art gallery is included, as well as a library designed in the style of an English study. Like Celebrity's other Millennium-class ships, there is a conservatory onboard featuring a manicured garden of trees and plants on the top deck. An onboard restaurant, the RMS Olympic, features the look of old-style ocean liners of the early 20th century. More contemporary features include exercise facilities, a spa with acupuncture service, a night club and casino, and playrooms for younger children. Online travel agencies like Direct Line Cruises can search for last-minute specials on tickets for Millennium cruises.
