Celebrity Constellation Cruise Ship

The Constellation launched in 2002 as a one of the co-flagships of the Celebrity cruise ship fleet. The Millennium class of ships was intended to broaden the Celebrity cruise experience, maintaining luxury while allowing for a larger number of passengers. It holds 1,900 passengers and a crew of 1,000. Its touring agenda entails winters in North America and the Caribbean and summers in Europe, with an emphasis on Scandinavian and Baltic Sea cruises.

Onboard amenities on the Constellation are intended to invoke an air of refinement and elegance, which Celebrity stresses in all of its cruise ships. Attractions include an onboard conservatory with a garden on the top of the vessel and a library called Words, where guests may borrow a variety of books. More traditional cruise ship accommodations are a spa, a theatre with live performances, a casino, two pools, a jogging track, a virtual golf simulator and a basketball court. The Constellation stresses upscale entertainment: Cirque du Soleil has performed onboard, and there is an art collection available for viewing. Like all of Celebrity's ships, it places a special emphasis on food service, with first-rate meals often centering on fresh seafood.
