To support the men and women who serve in the armed forces, Carnival Cruise Lines offers a military discount on select excursions. The military discounts available through Carnival are available to all branches of the armed forces. In addition to active military personnel, the discounts are available to reserves, members of the National Guard, and retired personnel.

Obtaining a Military Discount on Carnival Cruises

All that is needed to obtain the special fares is proper identification at the time of booking. Acceptable documents include a military or photo ID along with photocopies of enlistment papers or retirement forms. Customers trying to obtain a military discount cannot receive it online, but will instead need to speak with a member of the travel agency. Passengers have 24 hours to provide the necessary paperwork.

The discounts available are not just small breaks in the cost of the trip. In some cases, the reduction in price may be as much as 50 percent of the fare published by the company. These special rates may not be available at all times or on all Carnival cruises. Eligible parties should check with a travel agency to inquire about the packages for which they can receive this deal.

Through Direct Line Cruises, military personnel can search for cruises from Carnival on which they will receive a discount. In addition to these fares, they can search the online database for special deals, including last-minute travel rates, on a range of cruise operators.
