Azamara Cruise Ships

Azamara cruise ships are the only ships in the cruise-line industry that offer a deluxe-class cruise, a class range which occupies the space between a premium cruise and a luxury cruise.

While Azamara cruise ships) are small enough to provide the same personal crew attention to passengers that luxury cruise ships provide, the fees for an Azamara cruise are lower than the standard luxury cruise prices.

Currently, Azamara only has two cruise ships in its fleet. These are the Azamara Quest and the Azamara Journey. Both ships were purchased from Renaissance cruises and subsequently renovated. The purchase of the ships by Celebrity cruises is what led Celebrity to create Azamara.

Features of the Azamara Cruise Ships

Both of the Azamara Cruise ships hold 794 passengers. Over 90 percent of the staterooms have a view of the outside, and 75 percent of those have verandas. Special-access staterooms are also available. All passengers have access to butler service, which is included in the price.

Both the Azamara Quest and the Azamara Journey have specialty restaurants in addition to the main dining area. The Prime C is an onboard steak house while the Aqualina bills itself as serving Mediterranean-fusion food. Live shows are common on both Azamara ships. Stand-up comics, musical revues and off-Broadway plays are all available, although reviews tend to be mixed. The Celebrity Cabaret (both ships have one) is where the single acts perform.
